The news that Spitfire T8 MT818/G-AIDN was operating with Classic Wings at Duxford this weekend resulted in a dash down the M11 (or crawl more like with the weekend lane closures!) to nab a few pics of the progenitor of the two seat Spitfires...
I had only seen this special aircraft previously while visiting BHHH and it was hidden in the corner undergoing servicing. Now to try and see BS410 and ML295!
RW382 was towed out and parked up prior to going flying.

Because I went to see what (little) remains of Lympne Airfield the other day I ended up looking at some You Tube video of air races there and one of the competing Spits (in 1948) was G-AIDN. Not clear if it was the winner but a Spit certainly was.
