Duxford In A Different Light : Battle Of Britain Photography Evening

I was scheduled to work the photo evening at Duxford and managed to grab a few shots of the aircraft set out for the attendees.
Having some of the aircraft (Blenheim & 3 Hurricanes) positioned out on the airfield was obviously a new aspect which seemed to be popular with the attendees...
The night run by two Spitfires (Mk1 N3200 & MkV EE602) and Hurricane Mk I P2902 rounded off the evening (missed the Hurricane as I was on a toilet run!!)...

Duxford Battle Of Britain Air Show photos

Photos in no particular order of some of the aircraft appearing Sunday at Duxford...
A spendiferation of Spitfires of course, but the display by the NHS Spitfire flown by John Romain signalled the end of the two minutes silence for HM Queen Elizabeth - you could hear a pin drop...

"Tall In The Saddle" corralled...

In my "Mustang Roundup" of 2021, I had not listed the P-51D-20-NA 44-72035 "Tall In The Saddle" owned by Peter Teichman and operated by the Hangar 11 Collection at North Weald. An original Tuskegee squadron (332nd FG 99th FS) aircraft she spent many years carrying the markings of "Jumpin' Jacques" reverting back to her original scheme in 2016.
Today I managed to add her to the 'roundup'...

Spitfire spotting...

In the run up week to Duxford's Battle Of Britain Air Show (10th & 11th Sept.),  there was an abundance of Spitfires on the airfield...
And a "109" as the filling in a Spitfire sandwich - a "Hun" in the bun?...
PBY-5A Catalina "Miss Pick-Up" underwent engine runs and the Victor nears the end of it's restoration with the tail feathers now back in place.
