Storm Ciara damages Airspace IWM Duxford

The roof of the Airspace "superhangar" at Duxford has fallen foul of storm damage again, almost 6 years on from when it last suffered at the hands of winter storms.

11/2/20 - Museum has now reopened to public and staff.

The museum is closed UFN and a one-mile exclusion zone has also been set up around the building, which has been deemed unsafe and the M11 has been closed until further notice, between J9 and 11 in both directions.  Traffic using the A505 from Whittlesford and Fowlmere towards the M11 has also been affected.

UPDATE: 10/2/20 - M11/A505 now reopened.

March 2014 - repairs under way.
